Howdy! My name is Alex Sparks and I live in Denton, TX with my wife Kelly.

I’ve been a Poet, a Filmmaker, a Van Dweller, a Keep Exploring guy, and a Garden Gnome.

Now I’m a part-time Dumpster Diver’s Assistant and a full-time Existential Crisis.

I don’t really know what I will be at the end of this project. But you’re welcome to stick around and find out!

Only_Only is a place for me to store all the stuff I like to make. My hope is that it works as a digital artist studio and an ever evolving memoir. A virtual workspace I can leave open to the public.

Practically, it is a series of essays, poetry, and artsy fluff, all made with love by me and displayed on the pages here.

Each entry in the series will dance around a specific interest or hobby of mine. Usually over-weaving Woo into normal day bullshit and looking for my self in the stuff I love.

As often as I physically can. I shot too high on the first project and it took me forever.

I will also be sharing shorter work, behind-the-scenes, and updates to projects via Substack a few times a month.

The full Why is a project of its own, but the short version is that I have had a very bizarre few years of “poor mental health” and “spiritual seasickness.”

I thought that getting back into making art and writing might help and so I did.

I thought selling my business might help and so I did.

This combination of free time and making fun shit again kinda snowballed and left me with a lot of work and no where to share it.

So here we are.
